Prof. Tshwafo Elias Motaung is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a senior professor and Material Science Niche Area Head at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of the Free State (UFS) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). His research philosophy is “to convert scientific and indigenous knowledge into powerful innovation that is capable to influence the economy.”
