Der gängige Diskurs geht von der Pathologie eines Einzelnen aus, dessen unheilvolle, destruktive Eigenschaften wir in Beziehungen zu spüren bekommen, seien sie persönlicher oder allgemeiner Art. Um diese Blickweise zu erhärten, greifen viele zu geläufigen alltagspsychologischen »Diagnosen«. Das erlaubt es ihnen, sich selber als schuldlos in einer solchen Beziehung verwickelt zu sehen.
