A heartrending and beautiful book to bring the voices of Ukraine's children to the world, including the Ukrainian and English translation alongside moving works of art. Each copy sold of this beautiful book funds a week's mental health assistance for a Ukrainian childWe see the headlines, but it can be difficult to imagine what it feels like in Ukraine right now, or for the millions of displaced Ukrainians scattered across the world. This beautiful collection of quotes from children paired with evocative color artwork is bilingual, featuring each quote three times: in Cyrillic, transliterated Ukrainian, and English, making the book a tool for both language learning and language preservation.
The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation was officially established during the filming of the Oscar-nominated documentary A House Made of Splinters by Azad Safarov, the film’s assistant director and line producer, and Olena Rozvadovska, a human rights activist. Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, the Foundation has helped more than 4,500 children to receive professional psychological support and provided humanitarian aid to more than 13,000 families.
