Herzlich Willkommen!
About this book A young man by the name of Hans Faller visits Old Shatterhand in Radebeul. He asks the westerner to help him solve the murder of his father. The knowledge of an unimaginably large treasure of gold had become old Faller's undoing. The case appeals to Old Shatterhand and he spontaneously agrees to help. The perilous journey takes the companions via Leipzig and London to North America, to the land of the Ute. There, Winnetou and three old friends join the travelling party. But the legendary treasure of gold is also the target of desire for several criminal gangs. Exciting adventures await our heroes. This is a Karl-May pastiche by Reinhard Marheinecke featuring the immortal heroes of the ‘Wild West’. In addition to colourful, impressive landscapes, the author introduces the reader to some of the customs and traditions of the Ute people, as well as many quirky characters and originals. This is very much in the spirit of Karl May, whose humour and mood repeatedly shine through between the lines. Translated by Marlies Bugmann.
