Evaluates the nature of the international governance of minority rights in the context of the enlargement of the European Union. This book examines the origin and development of the European Minority Rights Regime paying particular attention to the institutions, policies and actions of European organisations.
DAVID J. GALBREATH Reader in Politics and International Relations at the University Bath, UK, and was principal investigator on the Leverhulme Trust project, 'The European Minority Rights Regime'. He is editor-in-chief ofEuropean Security. JOANNE McEVOY Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen, UK,and was previously a Sawyer Mellon Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Penn Program in Ethnic Conflict at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests focus on the management of ethnic politics, particularly the role of external actors in post-conflict state-building.
