Studies in the Gospels
"First published privately in German in 1927-29 as a series of study letters under the title Beitr'age zum Verst'andnis des Evangeliums. First published similarly in English in the 1930s"--T.p. verso.
Emil Bock (1895?1959) was one of the founders of the Christian Community in 1922, and led the movement from 1938 until his death.
In the course of his pioneering work in The Christian Community, Emil Bock made many studies of different aspects of the Gospels. Bringing his wide knowledge of the history of that time together with his deep insights in anthroposophy, he brings a fresh view of the familiar stories of the New Testament. Volume 2 looks particularly at the teachings of Christ, and at the Gospel of St Luke.
