Silent conversations
I exposed myself to the Islamic mysticism for a while, which I had learned not from common books in religious market, but from inner intuitions. The current political-religious conditions of the society in which I lived did not allow the free expression of spiritual concepts outside of formal reading. (Iran, 2008) I used the allowed literature of this period to express my inner concepts; but behind the usual appearance of the words, there are other intuitional meanings that only those who are familiar with the idea can analyze. To the ordinary audience, content may be just a spiritual content, or moral reference. For me, however, that inner opening and understanding is important. Sometimes we read a book and do not have a clear understanding of it. Sometimes we may read a book and know that it communicates with something within us, even though we cannot explain it. For me, this is the best sign that the text has done its job. It may be that sometime later, if we refer to the same content again, a curtain will be opened and the purpose will be achieved.
