Rolf Wittig: Rolf was born in Meinigen in Thuringia in 1933. After school, he learned the trade of a rifle engraver in Suhl, worked as a hewer in Russian ore mining, as a farmhand for a wine grower, as a stoker in South Africa, as a tree registrar in Sweden, as a subway driver Hamburg, as a stoker in South Africa, and as a engineer in Munich. Kerstin Harper: Kerstin Harper, Rolf's daughter, was born in Hamburg, graduated from high school in Gräfelfing/Bavaria, married US citizen Greg Harper, graduated from college in Charlottsville and now lives in West Virginia.
