The book entitled "Rheology of mineral oil" is structured in 5 chapters. Chapter 1 presents the basic notions of rheology, rheological models and the corresponding relationships. Chapter 2 presents the rheology of SAE 10W oil which includes the temperature viscosity dependence, the shear rate dependence on the shear stress and the shear rate viscosity dependence. The last two chapters present the calculation of the viscosity indices of SAE 10W oil and of H32 mineral oil and finally the bibliography part.

A Dra. Ioana Stanciu obteve o seu doutoramento em Química em 2008 para o estudo de aditivos poliméricos para óleos minerais. Desde 2005, participou em numerosas conferências nacionais e internacionais e publicou artigos em revistas nacionais e internacionais para estudar óleos multigraduados, óleos de canola e óleo de girassol.
