Herzlich Willkommen!
This book includes peer-reviewed article from the 17th International Conference on Interconnections between Particle Physics and Cosmology (PPC 2024) held from Oct 14–18 in Hyderabad, India. It presents recent developments in particle physics and cosmology, two rapidly growing fields of modern science connecting the micro- to macro-world. With huge success of standard model of particle physics, the Higgs boson discovery at LHC, along with the discovery of neutrino oscillations and gravitational waves, the search for BSM physics and/or new discovery could be around the corner. Advancements and new directions in collider physics, flavor and neutrino physics, dark matter which makes up a significant portion of the universe, baryogenesis, gravitational waves, early and late universe cosmology, dark energy, observational astronomy, cosmic inflation, nuclear astrophysics, large-scale structure, high energy astrophysics, precision cosmology, and exciting results in both theory and experiments are presented.
Dr. Anjan Giri is a professor of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Giri works on the area of flavor physics, neutrino physics, and on deciphering signals of physics beyond the standard model. He is a member of the Belle collaboration at KEK, Japan, NOvA, and DUNE collaborations at Fermilab, USA. He is known for his work named Giri-Grossman-Soffer-Zupan (GGSZ) method for the determination of CKM phase gamma, being used by Belle II and LHCb experiments.Dr. Rukmani  Mohanta is a professor of Physics at the University of Hyderabad. Mohanta works on phenomenological aspects of neutrino physics, flavor physics, dark matter, and the interplay between the data and theory using beyond the standard model scenarios. She is a member of NOvA and DUNE collaborations at Fermilab, USA. Mohanta is the recipient of the Elsevier Foundation 2011 Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) award for Physics/Mathematics in the Asia-Pacific region.
