In this little book I would like to record my experiences on the beautiful Greek island of Kalymnos. The stories are based on purely subjective feelings. The anecdotes described are based on periods between 2014 and 2022 and are not structured chronologically, but rather randomly arranged according to topics. Furthermore, this book is not intended as a travel guide but rather as a small autobiographical excerpt. In fact, it came about because I wrote down a few things to help me remember and then it just kept growing.

Achim Roskopf: I was born in Kassel in 1964 and completed my electrical engineering studies in Aachen in 1996. Since then, I have been working professionally in the areas of automation technology, process visualization, databases and software. I have 2 children and a grandchild and I am very happy that my parents are still well. My leisure creativity is mainly reflected in my acoustic guitar music, where I worked as a guitar teacher for many years and, in addition to concerts, recorded two albums and created associated sheet music and tablature booklets. Now, completely inexperienced and naive, I have used my experiences on the island of Kalymnos as an opportunity to write a little book. However, I'm not primarily interested in being financially successful, I just wanted to create an opportunity for my family, friends and anyone who is interested to share these memories with me.
