Gertrud loved to visit her grandmother. She couldn`t get enough of her grandmother´s stories of a Person about Whom Gertrud heard again and again with great inner hunger. Later she confessed: "Certainly, her prayer led me to my early decision for Christ - at the age of 5 years, before I went to school. How I loved hearing about my Savior! I decided, never to do anything but live for Him and preach His gospel."
