Bertrand Hourcade: Dr. Bertrand Hourcade was born in 1950 in Bayonne, France. He obtained a Master's Degree in Anglo-American literature from the University of Bordeaux, France in 1974 and a Ph.D. in French literature from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1980. M. Hourcade taught French, English and Spanish in various countries including the USA (Maine and Colorado), France, England and Switzerland.. He is now retired and spends his time writing in the French-speaking Swiss Alps.
