Employees in New Ventures: Antecedents and Consequences
Successful founders often point to their early hires and how these hires contributed to their ventures’ success. However, entrepreneurship literature lacks sufficient research on such early employees of new ventures. Therefore, this dissertation investigates how employees’ human capital develops over time and how it influences ventures’ outcomes. It thereby sheds new light on the role of employees as a success factor and informs human capital and entrepreneurship literature.
