Nobody else seems to see them, though, and when they even follow her to her family’s beach vacation, the girl decides she needs to talk to them. It turns out she has a lot in common with both of these creatures: She has been feeling sad and angry too. Estelí Meza creció rodeada de libros, y su amor por la ilustración comenzó cuando asistió a una feria de libros infantiles con su padre. Sus libros ilustrados, que se han publicado en México, España y Estados Unidos, incluyen Buscando el hogar y Paz. Ella recibió el premio más importante de libro ilustrado en México, A la Orilla del Viento. Estelí vive en Ciudad de México, donde disfruta del hermoso proceso de combinar la maternidad con la ilustración. Estelí Meza grew up surrounded by books, and her love for illustration began when she attended a children's book fair with her father. In 2018, she was awarded A la Orilla del Viento, the premier picture book award in Mexico. She has illustrated books published in Mexico, Spain, and here in the U.S. Estelí spends her days drawing in her Mexico City neighborhood and is always happiest with her notebook, pencil, and a chocolate pastry with cafecito.
