As a foundation for studying Indian English literature at university level, this volume focuses on the recent developments in Anglophone Indian writing. The chapters in this volume give insight into a wide range of novelists, short fiction writers, dramatists, and poets who have been working in this field from the late 20th century to the present and who have significantly contributed to the proliferation of Indian literature in English. Apart from a basic introduction to current trends in Indian English literature, each chapter focuses on specific features and styles of selected writers.
